Firework Safety Tips t4k5h

Jul 04, 2014

4th of July holiday, Larry, Moe and Curly will give you some firework safety guidelines to prevent you from getting injured.  Tips will include: Use fireworks outdoors only and buy only legal fireworks.

USE FIREWORKS OUTDOORS ONLY p6j30

Lighting fireworks at home is not legal in many locations so make sure to check that you’re not violating any laws before you make a purchase.   Should it be allowed in your area, make sure to not set off any indoors as they are highly dangerous and are highly flammable.  For extra precaution, have a bucket of water or a fire extinguisher.

STEER CLEAR OF OTHERS 1c4t4y

Fireworks have been known to backfire and shoot off in the wrong direction.  Never throw or point fireworks at anyone, including pets, even as a joke.

BUY ONLY LEGAL FIREWORKS 6v1v1f

When making your purchase for fireworks, make sure to check the label for the manufacturer’s name and directions as illegal fireworks are unlabeled.  Illegal fireworks have been banned since the 1960s and are highly dangerous.  It also goes without saying that you should never try to make your own fireworks., even if they come in a kit.

DON’T RELIGHT A DUD 1l6k5n

If a firework does not seem to work, douse it with water or hose it down.  Don’t make an attempt to relight it.

HAVE ADULT SUPERVISION AT ALL TIMES 6z4ds

Never let children operate fireworks on their own, even sparklers.  Sparklers can reach 1800* F and can still be dangerous.  Make sure an adult is always present.
