This week on Kidzworld’s recap of the “Top 7 Performances,” which aired on April 3rd, 2013 to discover what you missed.
This week the top 7 contestants tackled rock songs, which weren't really anyone's forte. No one stood out from the rest this week, but fortunately no one was horrible.
Burnell Taylor 3k656a
Burnell Taylor opened the show with "You Give Love A Bad Name." The judges could tell that he's not comfortable with rock songs. And granted, rock is definitely not his style. He wasn't able to show off the unique quality in his voice that we all enjoy. However, the judges, particularly Nicki, still thought he was adorable.
Duet: Angie and Lazaro 3c1v73
Angie and Lazaro performed a duet, singing a Queen number. The judges thought the song was in a great key for Angie's voice. Unfortunately, Lazaro forgot his lyrics again for the second week in a row.
Kree Harrison 1b13n
In Randy's opinion, the show finally started when Kree Harrison sang the Janis Joplin song "Piece of My Heart." The judges thought that she has a talent when it comes to choosing the right songs for her voice. However, Keith noticed that something was holding her back. Good observation, Keith. Apparently, Kree had a pinched nerve.
Duet: Candice and Burnell i5l4b
The second duet of the night included Candice and Burnell singing "The Letter." Candice stole the show. However, the song really showed off Burnell's voice, unlike his solo.
Janelle Arthur 47416v
Janelle Arthur sang "You Might Be Right" and gave it her usual country twang. The judges loved how she worked the stage. Keith said that she's the one contestant left that seems to improve every single week.
Lazaro Arbos 546v70
Lazaro Arbos sang "We Are The Champions," a song choice that had the judges worried for a moment. While he did hit a few flat notes during the song, the judges felt that he did it justice. Nicki loved how he added a little Latin flavor. She wanted get up and dance.
Trio: Amber, Janelle and Kree 5y3a5d
Amber, Janelle and Kree sang a Billy Joel song. The judges thought they were unbelievable, except for Nicki who said the song bored her. She even called it cheesy. She did, however, say that Amber stood out from the rest.

If anyone had the best performance, it was Candice Glover, who sang "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction." The judges didn't think it was the perfect song choice for her, but she rocked it out anyway, never missing a note. Like always.
Amber Holcomb 5g5dm
Amber Holcomb was Nicki's favorite of the night. She sang "What About Love," which the judges agreed was a great song choice for her.
Angie Miller 483w6i
Angie Miller closed the show with "Bring Me To Life" by Evanescence, which should have been the perfect song choice for her as her voice is very similar to the lead singer's. However, if you know and love the song, you would agree that something about her performance was lacking...something. The judges praised her though, so maybe it sounded better live.
